San Diego native Carmen studied Business Administration at UC Riverside, and has since gained 20+ years’ Labor Compliance and Payroll experience. Carmen’s expertise is vital to providing our clients top-notch service spanning everything from building programs for general contractors, assisting with prevailing wage requirements, full-cycle payroll consulting, to process implementations. Our clients appreciate Carmen’s commitment, thoroughness, sense of ownership, and strong communication skills. When not being a Labor Compliance/Payroll guru, Carmen loves spending time with her family – she enjoys boating, camping, and coaching sports.

Nancy also a native to San Diego holds her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management, a Certificate in Human Resources Management, and is both a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) and Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Nancy brings to TPPS 20 years of progressive Human Resources experience. Nancy enjoys navigating clients through the complex and sometimes scary world of employment while helping to simplify compliance, mitigate risk, and create strategic and sustainable policies, procedures, and best practices. When not working, which is rare, Nancy enjoys spending time with her dogs, volunteering for German Shepherd Rescue, and being outdoors with friends and family.
HR Business Partner & SPHR
Christian is a customer service professional at his core. His experience prior to TPPS includes stints in higher education, non-profits, the service industry, and coffee. He has over 3 years' experience in Human Resources in various settings with a focus on recruiting, onboarding, performance management, training, and process development. Christian enjoys supporting employees in the workplace while also helping to ensure practices align with organizational goals and values. A great listener, Christian places a priority in understanding client needs to offer up solutions that are both efficient and effective. Christian earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science at UCSB (Go Gauchos!), a Masters degree in Organizational Development and Leadership at Fielding Graduate University and is a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). In his free time Christian enjoys cooking, walking his dog Charlie, traveling, geeking out on comics, and hanging out with friends and family.
Cristina is from Southern California but spent a large portion of her life in the Bay Area. She is happily married with 2 young boys and one doggy.
She has 5 years of experience in Human Resources including payroll processing, benefits administration, full cycle onboarding, and employee exits, among other HR duties. She also worked in the Purchasing department for 4 years. She has a passion for payroll processing and enjoys learning all the latest details on this subject. She’s naturally altruistic, cooperative and she is always smiling. When not in the office, you can find her cooking for her family, watching a movie (at home or the movie theater), or at the beach. You can also find her alongside her husband searching for collectible items to add to their collections. While her family and work duties keep her busy, she’s always looking to learn new things. The current subject is Photography, and she is looking forward to getting a professional camera to take as many photos of dogs and landscapes as possible!
Erica joins our team from the Entertainment Capital of the World – Las Vegas. An East Coast native, she migrated to Hawaii to live in paradise for a while before landing in Sin City, where she’s been since 2014. Erica has 8 years of payroll experience, and 6 years of HR experience. She has an MS in Industrial Organizational Psychology and earned her Master's Certificate in Human Resource Management. She also plans to get her SHRM-CP this year in 2022. When she’s not busy keeping our clients’ payroll systems in order, she likes to hike with her husband, paddle board, go to the gym, and hang out with her kids. She is also the proud mom of a 110 lb Rottweiler named Zadie.
Irene is one of our rockstar HR Coordinators. She comes to TPPS with 5 progress years of administrative experience. While Irene is at the beginning of her HR career, she is excited to learn and take on whatever challenges come her way. She works with our clients to get their needs met quickly and efficiently, hopping in wherever she can to solve any problem tosser her way. Born and raised in San Diego, Irene received her Bachelor's in Political Science, but hopes to go back to school and further her education. In her spare time, Irene likes to go to concerts, the gym, and spend time with friends and family, and her cat, Bunny.
Jennifer is our resident payroll guru and uses her nearly two decades of experience processing payroll for thousands of travel nurses, or churches across the county to assist our clients with their compensation needs as our Payroll Specialist. Jennifer was born and raised in the Bay Area before relocating to San Diego to receive her bachelors from University of San Diego. When she isn’t juggling our payroll needs, she has been known to spend her time outdoors with her family and knows the San Diego Safari Park like the back of her hand. Fun fact, she is also a hypnotist, who said payroll couldn’t be mesmerizing?
Office & Operations Manager
Jennifer, or Phoenix to our team, joined TPPS as the Office Manager where she oversees our day-to-day operations, keeps our team in sync and works on marketing and business development. A self-proclaimed “child of the world” Phoenix was born in Texas, before spending her childhood in France and has moved from California to Hawaii and back. With a degree in Political Science and French studies, Phoenix, along with our fellow Parisian, keeps the team entertained with a new French word to learn each week. When she isn’t partnering with our team on marketing efforts, she can be found at the beach, dreaming of outer space, or on a paddle board.
HR Business Partner & PHR
Mayra is from Southern California but spent a large portion of her life in Tijuana, Mexico. She is happily married with 2 young daughters and 2 dogs. Mayra is a passionate and highly motivated human resources professional with 10 years of experience in people management, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, recruiting, and champions diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Human Resources at National University as well as her PHR certification. In her free time, Mayra loves spending time outdoors with her two daughters and husband biking, going to the beach, parks, watching movies and sports games.
Nicole uses her Sociology degree and current psychology studies to apply understanding, observation, and excellent communication with our groups in her role as an HR Coordinator where she assists our groups with all aspects of employee lifecycle. With ten years of experience in office management and a background in administration and human resources Nicole works alongside our HR Business Partners to become an extension of our client’s team. As a San Diego native, Nicole works in conjunction with the San Diego Humane Society to neuter/spay neighborhood cats so that they can be adopted into loving homes or released back into the community. If she isn’t busy rescuing cats, she may be found cross stitching, gardening or practicing yoga.
Director of HR & SPHR
Sadina began her career in HR after discovering her customer service skills could be focused towards employee support and organizational growth. With a BS in Business, Sadina added a HR Management certification through George Mason University and acquired the SPHR certification from HRCI. Experience from retail, construction, and tech industries, provides her with a solid background to pull from as she supports the diverse businesses within our TPPS portfolio. Sadina enjoys the challenge of understanding employment law while navigating the many unique situations that arise from working with people. If you have a complicated leave of absence case Sadina will jump in and ensure the employee feels fully supported while also sorting out the complexities from an administrative and legal position. Outside of work Sadina is a mom of twin boys and stays very active keeping up with them and all their energy.
A San Diego native, Susana served our country as a member of the United States Air Force and has joined our team as our Benefits Specialist. Susana focuses on managing benefit eligibility and enrollments, 401(k) enrollment and submission and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and benefit compliance. With multiple years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, she brings an organized and polished approach to the complexities of health and welfare benefits. She has worked in both the private and public sector and built a knowledge base on dynamic human resource and benefit principles. When Susana is not reconciling benefit invoices or audits, she can be found traveling with family and friends or attending a sporting event.
